Lean

The North Texas Chapter of ASIS International hosted its first Law Enforcement Appreciation Night (LEAN) in 1964. It started as an annual event to show appreciation to area law enforcement for their service and support. The addition of door prizes have grown to be a major feature of the event.

The event is a laid-back night and attendees are encouraged to wear boots and jeans. Tickets aren’t sold to local law enforcement. Instead, they are invited by the generous donations of businesses and individuals.

Each year the Board of Directors chooses a law enforcement-related cause to support from the proceeds of LEAN. The proceeds from LEAN 2017 benefitted the Assist The Officer Foundation (ATO) of the Dallas Police Associate and William An, a Dallas Fire-Rescue Paramedic who was shot while rendering aid to a gunshot victim on May 1, 2017.

Contact the Board of Directors, Martin Cramer, or Steve Castor, for more information about how you can sponsor and support the North Texas Chapter to continue making one of the largest Law Enforcement Appreciation Night’s in all of ASIS International.
