Welcome to the North Texas Chapter of ASIS International!

Greetings from the ASIS North Texas Chapter!  If you live anywhere close to DFW, you know the temperature is hot and so are this year’s chapter events. We are so proud of the partnerships we have gained this year. If you know someone who would like to join ASIS, please direct them to the ½ special for all new members’. Additionally, full-time students can still join for $20. In order to receive information from the NTX chapter, your information must be an active member and up to date in the corporate portal.

The beginning of this year, the chapter focused on security certification, young professionals and technology. Our CPP Boot Camp kicked off in February and provided the participants with some phenomenal CPP instructors who poured into the team.

We hosted a forum targeting young professionals interested in learning about career opportunities in security. The meeting consisted of a panel of college professors (criminal justice/security management) and security professionals. It was discovered, there are various facets of security and career opportunities for young professionals to consider. Additionally, we hosted an YP social hour to help build those relationships.

Our 54th LEAN event held at the Southern Cross Ranch, was a huge success with over 700 people in attendance to support our North Texas local law enforcement. A portion of the proceeds raised will be donated toward the Dallas Police Assist the Officer (ATO) foundation.

Women in Security will have two major events to round out 2018. Our quarterly networking activity will kick off on August 15. Our annual WIS Gala will be on October 25.

Our website is the focal point for the chapter communications. Please take time to review and get to know your board members and committee teams. The website is a place to find upcoming events that include our monthly luncheons, training opportunities, and all of the outstanding networking event opportunities.
